GMAC Sports Terms of Service

Please read the Terms below (scroll inside the box). You agree to them when you book.

Effective October 19, 2026 • Version v1.1 2026-10

1. About These Terms

Welcome to GMAC Sports! These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain how our coaching works and what we each agree to. "GMAC," "we," and "us" means GMAC Sports (Gregory Shepherd, doing business as GMAC Sports), run by Coach Greg Shepherd ("Coach"). "You" means the person agreeing to these Terms. "Participant" means the person who trains. If the Participant is under 18, "you" means the parent or legal guardian agreeing for themselves and on the Participant's behalf (see Section 2).

These Terms include our Liability Waiver (Section 10), our No-Refund Policy (Section 6), and our Privacy Policy (Section 13). By checking the box and typing your name, you agree to all of them. Your typed name counts as your signature.

Questions? We're happy to help before you sign: gmacsports1@gmail.com or (443) 538-2835.

2. Eligibility

  • Adults (18 or older) agree to these Terms for themselves.
  • Participants under 18 need a parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian must complete the intake, check the boxes, and type their name to sign and agree to these Terms, including the Liability Waiver, for themselves and on the minor's behalf. By signing, they confirm they are the minor's parent or legal guardian with legal authority to agree for them.
  • Minors train in person only. Live virtual coaching (one-on-one and small group), Programming/Training Plans, and Coach's Eye video reviews are for adults (18 or older) only.
  • The parent or guardian is the billing and contact party. They are responsible for all payments, and all scheduling, notices, receipts, and messages go to them (or copy them).
  • Supervision: a parent, guardian, or designated adult (18 or older) must be present or immediately reachable by phone for the full length of every session involving a minor.
  • Communication with minors: the Coach does not message a minor privately (text, social media, email, or apps). All messages go to, or copy, the parent or guardian.

3. Our Services

  • Live virtual coaching (one-on-one and small group) by video call in boxing, Muay Thai, kickboxing, and related striking and conditioning skills. Sessions run on Google Meet; we'll send you the link before each session.
  • In-person coaching (one-on-one and small group, up to 4) in combat sports, Combat Defense (CDS), and fitness. The training location is agreed after your intake and shared after booking. Your in-person price depends on your plan and location and is confirmed by the Coach before you pay.
  • Seminars for groups and organizations (for example, Combat Defense or group fitness). Each seminar is quoted after intake; the quote states the date, length, group size, and price.
  • Programming (Training Plans), Coach's Eye video reviews, and the Virtual Assessment are delivered online.
  • Sessions are 60 minutes unless we agree otherwise. Times are Eastern Time.
  • We teach and coach. We don't give medical, physical therapy, or nutrition advice.
  • We can't promise specific results, like weight loss, a fight win, or a rank. Training also can't guarantee your safety in a real-life confrontation.

  • Your billing date is your sign-up date. Your month runs from that date and renews on the same date each month. Example: if you sign up on the 13th, you renew on the 13th of each month. If you sign up on the 29th, 30th, or 31st, you renew on the last day of shorter months.
  • Sessions for each billing month are scheduled within that month.
  • Small groups have up to 4 people. The free first class is one per person.
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice by email. New prices start with your next billing month after the notice.

5. Payment

  • How to pay: Venmo to @Greg-Martial, sent as Friends & Family. Please put your name and plan in the note (for example, "Jane Doe, Nov plan"). If you booked online, the Venmo note is filled in for you with your intake reference number. For a minor, the parent or guardian pays and should include the Participant's name. Venmo is our only payment method unless GMAC agrees otherwise in writing.
  • When: payment is due before your first session, then before your first session of each billing month.
  • Late fee: if payment is more than 2 days late, a $15 late fee applies.
  • Pause: if payment is 7 days late, sessions pause until your balance (including the late fee) is paid. Sessions missed during a pause aren't made up.
  • No auto-charge: Venmo payments are manual, so your plan renews only when you pay for the next month. If you don't pay, your plan simply ends. If you've already started a new month (for example, booked or attended a session) without paying, the late fee and pause rules apply to that month.
  • Billing question? Please contact us first. We'll sort it out quickly (see Section 7).

6. Refunds: No Refunds

No refunds: all payments are final and non-refundable, including partial months and unused sessions, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

  • This includes monthly plans, single sessions, add-ons, the Virtual Assessment, in-person sessions, seminars, and Coach's Eye. (The $25 Virtual Assessment is credited to your first month if you join.)
  • There's no satisfaction guarantee.
  • Missed sessions are handled only through our Attendance policy (Section 9).
  • If the Coach misses a session, you get a make-up or a credit (Section 9), not cash.
  • Medical pause: if your doctor tells you to stop training, send us a doctor's note and we'll pause your plan for up to 30 days, once in any 12-month period. Your billing date moves back by the length of the pause. This is a pause, not a refund.
  • If GMAC permanently stops offering coaching, paid sessions that weren't delivered will be handled as required by applicable law.
  • If the law ever requires a refund, we'll send it by Venmo within 7 business days.

7. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

  • Contact us first. If something looks wrong with a payment, you agree to email gmacsports1@gmail.com before filing a dispute or chargeback with Venmo, your bank, or your card issuer. We'll work with you to fix it quickly.
  • Delivered and paid services are final. Sessions that were delivered or made available, and payments already made, are final (see Section 6).
  • Records we may use as evidence. If you file a dispute, we may provide your signed acceptance of these Terms (with its timestamp), session and attendance records, and our messages with you.
  • Improper chargebacks. If you file a chargeback without contacting us first, for services that were delivered, or for a reason these Terms don't allow, we may end your coaching right away, and any balance you owe (including the disputed amount and any late fees) remains due.

8. Cancellations

  • You can cancel anytime. No cancellation fee and no notice period.
  • Just email gmacsports1@gmail.com before your next billing date.
  • Your plan stays active until the end of the month you've already paid for. That month isn't refunded.
  • We may pause or end your coaching for non-payment, unsafe behavior, or breaking our Code of Conduct (Section 12), or if the Coach believes training isn't safe for you.

9. Attendance & Missed Sessions

If you miss a session

  • You get one excused miss per billing month, with at least 24 hours' notice.
  • Your make-up must be scheduled and completed in the same billing month.
  • No rollovers. Unused sessions and make-ups don't carry into the next month.
  • Other misses, or misses with less than 24 hours' notice, count as used.
  • To reschedule a single session, give at least 24 hours' notice.
  • Running late? The session still ends on time. After 15 minutes with no word from you, it counts as a no-show.

If the Coach misses a session

  • One missed session in a month: you get a make-up at a time that works for you. If we can't fit it in that month, you get a credit for next month.
  • More than one in a month: for each extra miss, you choose: a make-up session, a prorated credit toward your next month, or a free Coach's Eye video review.
  • Coach make-ups and credits don't follow the no-rollover rule. They expire 14 days after they're issued.

Tech problems

  • If our connection or platform fails and you lose more than 10 minutes, we'll make up or credit the lost time.
  • If your connection fails, we'll try to reconnect. Time lost on your side isn't made up.

10. Liability: Assumption of Risk, Waiver & Release

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights. By agreeing, you give up certain rights to sue.

In short: you assume all risk of training, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, GMAC assumes no liability for any injury, loss, or damage related to your training. The details are below.

10.1 The risks

Combat sports training is a workout. It can include striking, footwork, shadowboxing, bag and pad work, conditioning, and stretching. Possible injuries include strains, sprains, joint injuries, bruises, cuts, and broken bones; hand, wrist, and foot injuries; falls or collisions with furniture, walls, equipment, people, or pets; head, neck, or eye injuries (for example, from a partner holding pads); overexertion, dehydration, dizziness, or fainting; and, in rare cases, heart attack, stroke, or death. Training can also make an existing injury or condition worse.

10.2 Training by video

Because coaching is online, the Coach isn't in the room. The Coach can't check your space or equipment, physically correct you, see outside the camera, or give first aid. Video can lag or drop. You understand and accept these limits.

10.2a In-person sessions

Follow the Coach's safety instructions and the rules of the place where we train, wear the gear provided or requested, and speak up right away about any concern.

10.3 Your space and equipment

  • You're responsible for a safe space: clear floor, non-slip surface, room to move, good lighting, nothing sharp or breakable nearby, and kids and pets out of the area.
  • You're responsible for your equipment: wraps, gloves, shin guards, mouthguard, mats, bags, and mounts. Set it up properly, check it, and use it as intended.
  • Training partners: anyone who holds pads or trains with you must be 18 or older. You're responsible for them, and by agreeing to these Terms you confirm they understand and accept the risks described here.
  • Stop if something feels wrong. If you feel pain, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, or nausea, stop and tell the Coach. In an emergency, call 911.
  • You can skip or modify any drill at any time. You control your own effort.

10.4 Assumption of risk

I understand these risks, and that other risks may exist. I choose to take part voluntarily and assume all of these risks, including risks from my space, my equipment, my internet connection, and training remotely. If I am agreeing for a minor, I voluntarily allow the minor to take part, and to the fullest extent the law allows, I assume these risks for myself and on the minor's behalf.

10.5 Release

To the fullest extent the law allows, I (and my heirs and estate) release and agree not to sue GMAC Sports, Coach Greg Shepherd, and their owners, staff, contractors, and agents for any injury, illness, death, property damage, or other loss related to my training, including losses caused by their ordinary negligence. This release does not cover gross negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct, or anything the law doesn't allow me to waive. If I am agreeing for a minor, I give this release for myself, for the minor, and for our heirs and estates, to the fullest extent the law allows.

10.6 Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, I'll cover GMAC's costs, including reasonable attorney fees, for claims by me, a training partner, or anyone else in my training space that arise from my training or my training environment. If I am agreeing for a minor, this includes claims brought by or on behalf of the minor that arise from the minor's participation.

11. Health & Safety

  • You're physically able to train, or you have clearance from a healthcare provider. Written medical clearance is required before you train after surgery, a major injury, or a serious medical condition. Please also check with your doctor first if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, breathing problems, diabetes, seizures, a past concussion, are pregnant, or take medication that affects heart rate or balance.
  • Tell the Coach before you start, and anytime something changes, about any injury or health condition.
  • The Coach isn't a medical provider and doesn't diagnose or treat anything.
  • Don't train under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or while sick or injured.
  • Warm up, stay hydrated, and wear the right gear: wraps and gloves for bag work, plus a mouthguard for any partner drills.
  • For minors: the parent or guardian gives the minor's health information and an emergency contact, keeps them up to date, and authorizes GMAC to call 911 and obtain emergency medical treatment for the minor if the parent or guardian can't be reached. The parent or guardian is responsible for those costs.
  • Give us an emergency contact and your city and state. We don't need your street address, but know it so you can give it to 911.

12. Code of Conduct

  • Be respectful. No harassment, threats, or discriminatory or inappropriate behavior.
  • Dress for training and keep your camera on.
  • No live sparring or partner contact unless the Coach approves it first.
  • Use what you learn for fitness, sport, and lawful self-defense only.
  • Don't share session links, materials, or recordings.
  • The Coach may stop a session at any time for safety or conduct. Serious or repeated problems may end your coaching without a refund.

13. Privacy Policy

  • What we collect: your name, email, phone, city and state, emergency contact, health details you share, payment records (Venmo name and notes), scheduling history, and session notes.
  • Minors: information about a minor comes only from the parent or guardian. We don't collect information directly from minors, and we never knowingly collect any information directly from children under 13.
  • How we use it: to schedule and coach you, keep you safe, talk with you, handle payments, and keep our records. We may use anonymous, combined numbers (like "sessions per month") to improve our coaching.

We never sell your personal information.

  • We don't rent, trade, or share it with partners or advertisers. The only exceptions: the tools we use to run our coaching (Google Meet, Venmo, email) handle it only as needed; when the law requires it; or to protect someone's safety in an emergency.
  • Your choices: email gmacsports1@gmail.com to see, correct, or delete your information. We keep records (your signed acceptance, payment records, and session logs) for 3 years after our coaching relationship ends, then delete them. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online system is perfectly secure.

14. Video Sessions & Recording

  • We only record sessions if you opt in (a separate checkbox). For a minor, only the parent or guardian can opt in. Saying no won't affect your coaching.
  • Recordings are used only for your coaching review and progress, and shared only with you.
  • Recordings are stored in GMAC's private Google Drive and kept for up to 90 days, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. They're never shared.
  • The Coach will say so on camera when recording starts. You can change your mind anytime, even mid-session, and recording will stop.
  • Please don't record sessions yourself without the Coach's OK, and make sure anyone in the room knows if a session is being recorded.

15. Marketing Use of Photos & Video

  • We only use your photos or video in marketing if you opt in (a separate checkbox). For a minor, only the parent or guardian can opt in, and the default is no. This is separate from recording consent, and saying no won't affect your coaching.
  • If you opt in, we may use clips or photos of you on our website, social media, and promotional materials. No payment is owed for this use.
  • You can withdraw at any time by email. We'll stop new uses and remove content we control within a reasonable time.

16. General Terms

  • Governing law: the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to email us at gmacsports1@gmail.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that isn't resolved goes to the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court where it qualifies. Your own state's consumer protection laws still apply where they cannot be waived.
  • Changes: we may update these Terms. We'll email you (for a minor, the parent or guardian) about important changes. They'll apply from your next billing month.
  • If part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • Entire agreement: these Terms are our full agreement about coaching. Any other changes must be in writing (email is fine).
  • Electronic signature: checking the boxes and typing your name online has the same effect as signing by hand.
  • Contact: gmacsports1@gmail.com • (443) 538-2835.

You agree to these Terms (and the Liability Waiver) when you book. For a participant under 18, the parent or legal guardian agrees on their behalf.
